Freedom for Captives is about liberating people from that which binds them. Yes you are certainly correct, and thank you so much for your blessing! In addition note how Paul points out biblical authority by using, “According to the scriptures” several times.

Basically stating that the ultimate source that testifies to this miraculous event is found within the authority of the scriptures. *** I’m half asleep and rambling, so forgive me… please.. I’m not trying to preach in your blog.

In the beginning when God spoke, his Spirit went with his word. Just like when we speak, our breath follows. Interesting thing is that in the Bible the word Spirit is the same as Wind, or Breath. The reason I bring this up is because of the wonderful scripture you brought up.

When we proclaim God’s Word as it is, His breath/Spirit will naturally follow and empower what we say with conviction and truth. God has shown the world many times that He is who He says He is, and how much more proof do you need than over 500 eye witnesses after Jesus’ resurrection?

It only takes 1 witness in a courtroom to convict someone.

I would say Romans 1 comes into play where men supress the truth in unrighteousness.

But as you and I know.. man can’t hide in the fig leaves forever.

Thanks for the post. As you have noted, and as Paul wrote in I Cor. 15) the resurrection is the central theme in our faith, the keystone that holds everything else in place. If I were to pick just a few: God is amazing, beautiful, powerful.

I believe in His resurrection because He first believed in me, and revealed Himself to me in a way that is undeniable. Although we all should be well educated on the facts of history, and the prominent proof that surrounds biblical authority.. Let us never forget the relationship that is the source of life.

The person, Jesus Christ.
